The DEMO evening on Sunday at the venture factory was the end of the intense three-day entrepreneurship weekend, that 26 teams attended, as well as more than 20 mentors. Teams Macte Animo, "Podari Paketek", "Pohorske dobrote", an educational app, Selfiebox and Safy were the ones that most impressed the seven-member expert committee and earned the intense Start:up Maribor TURA packet.

The afternoon started like every other Tuesday of November, with a practical workshop, this time about »How to reach first customers.« Aljoša Huber, an experienced entrepreneur with experiences ranging from middle to small companies, as well as a renowned startup mentor, led the workshop.
Organizers of the Start:up Maribor programme recieved 38 applications to the intense autumn entrepreneurship programme called Start:up TURA. In the coming weekend, teams will improve their ideas and products with the help of mentors at the three day Start:up weekend.
Maribor had been an extremely well developed city economically wise. It prided itself with numerous industrial giants. After the 1990 most of those companies ceased to operate or they got restructured. There are modern business zones with many companies operating on those areas nowadays.
